      Eco-diablo Mask - Rainforest Shapeshifter

      Eco-diablo Mask - Rainforest Shapeshifter

      $395.00
      Code: IEDM005
      18 1/4" tall / 10” wide

A particularly complex mask design, this unique conceptual piece is broadly based on the traditional 'diablito' mask worn by participants in the venerable, and annually celebrated, Danza de los Diablitos ceremony of the Brunka tribe. In Spanish, these masks are called the 'diablitos' (little devils) -, personages that represent the Brunka peoples' ancestral warriors/defenders. This stunning composition is a baroque arrangement of rainforest birds and insects that create a shapeshifting visage. Artist: Dennis Leiva
