$225.00
Code: MITA036
Size: 14” x 14” (36 x 36 cms)
The indigenous Ngobe-Bugle (Guaymi) are a relatively large aboriginal group with population in the southern Pacific watershed of Costa Rica as well as western Panama. The ‘chaquira’ beaded (glass trade beads) collar is worn by important individuals and guests of honour at significant ceremonial and cultural functions.

Galeria Namu, in a striking display as wall art, is mounting on crushed black velvet and framing singular ‘chaquira’ collars, but the gallery also have for sale loose ‘chaquira’ collars for wearing ($68).
